What does it do?

Green sits opposite red on the colour wheel, which is why green-tinted skincare can help visually balance the appearance of redness.

Altruist Anti-Redness & Pigmentation Light SPF50 is a daily tinted facial sunscreen made especially for sensitive, redness-prone and fair skin. Its lighter tint helps instantly conceal the appearance of redness and uneven skin tone, while providing very high SPF50 protection against UV exposure.

Behind that soft tint is some serious sun protection. The formula combines 8 UV filters for high-factor, photostable UVA and UVB protection with 5-Star Ultra UVA rating (PPD 52), including modern filters such as Tinosorb S and Uvinul T150. Iron oxides add another layer of defence against visible light, while the lighter tint helps even out the look of redness and pigmentation.

Light or Classic?

If you've used the classic Altruist Anti-Redness & Pigmentation SPF50, you'll already know its signature green tint, designed to help neutralise the appearance of redness.

The Light version is simply the lighter-toned sibling. It has been developed with a lighter colour and feel, making it particularly suited to fairer skin tones.

Who is this product for?

A high-protection, redness-neutralising sunscreen for those with sensitive or redness-prone skin, particularly if you experience:

Apply generously 20 minutes before sun exposure, as the last step of your daytime skincare routine.

It can be worn on its own or used underneath makeup as a complexion-perfecting base.

As it is water resistant, reapply to maintain protection:

• After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating
• Immediately after towel drying
• Regularly during prolonged sun exposure

Sun protection tips: 

Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF of 30 or higher. Wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses during sun exposure.
