What makes this product unique?

3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid is an ethered derivative of the pure ascorbic acid. To date, this ethylated ascorbic acid is regarded as the most successful derivative of ascorbic acid because it acts on the pigments directly.

3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid has a lovely lipophilic (oil-soluble) and hydrophilic (water-soluble) chemical structure. It can be mixed with any formulation easily for fast penetration into the skin to carry out excellent whitening effects by inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase, deoxidizing black melanin to tint melanin, therefore improving skin brightness visibly.

Note: The presence of water degrades 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid. The Ordinary Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% Solution contains 0% water, 0% silicone and 0% oil, the slippery sensation from propanediol will subside within minutes.

THE BEST! I have sensitive skin and had resigned myself to not being able to use Vit C on my skin. Then I saw this was available and I'm loving it!! My moisturizers are oil-based, so this works beautifully with them, and adds a nice bit of moisture to my routine.
