Apply once or twice daily after cleansing and toning. Lightly soak a cotton pad and apply over the entire face, including the eye area (avoid the lower lash line and eyelids). Do not rinse. For daytime, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 25 or greater.

How is this RESIST BHA exfoliant different from your SKIN PERFECTING BHA exfoliants?

RESIST Daily Pore-Refining Treatment is the first daily-use BHA product that combines a light-as-water texture with 2% salicylic acid, anti-aging peptides, repairing ingredients, and antioxidants. Together, this liquid exfoliates, improves multiple signs of aging, clears blackheads, bumps, and other breakouts, and reduces redness and enlarged pores. It is the daily exfoliant step in our RESIST routine for those with combination to oily skin, and is specially formulated for those struggling with wrinkles, enlarged pores and breakouts—all at the same time.

 There are so many different BHA exfoliants! How do I choose the best one for me?

Choose the best BHA for you based on your skin type, concerns, and texture preferences. Liquids and gels are great for oily or combination skin; lotions are ideal for normal to dry skin or combination skin with drier areas.

 If I use RESIST BHA 9, do I need this, too?

If you’re using BHA 9 as a spot treatment, then yes, your skin will benefit further from daily application of RESIST Daily Pore-Refining Treatment on your face, neck, and chest. If you are routinely applying BHA 9 over your entire face, then you likely don’t need to add this exfoliant, too.

 I have rosacea; can I use this product?

Yes. RESIST Daily Pore-Refining Treatment contains several ingredients that work to reduce inflammation and enhance skin’s healthy function. Plus, salicylic acid (BHA) is a natural anti-inflammatory ingredient that can reduce the redness and blotchy skin tone associated with rosacea.

 How would I use this if I’m also using the RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foam?

Assuming you’re using the RESIST Weekly Retexturizing Foam as a once-weekly treatment at night, you’d simply apply RESIST Daily Pore-Refining Treatment that morning, and then twice daily on the days you won’t be applying the Weekly Retexturizing Foam. Optional: You can experiment with applying the Daily Pore-Refining Treatment just before the Weekly Retexturizing Foam. This can provide a “peel-like” action that may produce better results than using either exfoliant alone. Pay close attention to how your skin responds and stop combining use if you see signs of irritation (flaking or increased sensitivity).
